FC Anyang, the ‘100-year club with the citizens’ (Anyang Mayor Max Ho), has signed former Suwon Samsung midfielder Ryu Seung-woo.

Ryu, who went on to play for Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga at the age of 20, played at the 2013 U20 World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics. At Rio 2016, he became the first South Korean footballer in history to score a hat-trick in a FIFA-organised tournament.

Since his professional debut, he has played for Leverkusen, Eintracht Braunschweig and Arminia Bielefeld in Germany before finishing his European career with Ferencvarosi in Hungary.
