St. Gozoluki joined the first team in 2004. Hanwha Eagles infielder Lee Min-joon, 19, was added to the first team ahead of the team’s game against the KIA Tigers on Tuesday. The call-up was to fill the vacant spot of shortstop Park Jung-hyun, who was demoted to the second team the day before.
Manager Choi Won-ho said, “I hope Park will calm down and improve his game in the Future Team. Lee Min-joon, who has good hardware, is an offensive shortstop. He’s young, so his power isn’t outstanding, but it’s okay. His defense keeps him calm.”
Lee Min-joon, who graduated from Jangchung High School, is a third-round rookie pick after Kim Seo-hyun and Moon Hyun-bin. In 16 games in the Futures League, he batted 2-for-7 with one home run, 12 RBIs, and eight runs scored. He joined the first team on June 18 after going 2-for-2 with a double against KT Wiz in the Futures League.
Hanwha started the season with two shortstops, veterans Oh Sun-jin (33) and Park Jung-hyun (22). Shortly after opening day, Park
Jung-hyun was the primary starter. However, Oh took over the starting role with his solid defense and hitting.
However, Oh was hit in the face by a pitch earlier this month and suffered a hamstring injury that sent him down to the Futures. Park Jung-hyun, who has been in a severe hitting slump, was sent to the second team. In 40 games, Park batted just 1-for-12 (80 at-bats) with one home run and three RBIs.
Lee Do-yoon is currently the starting shortstop for Hanwha. He will start at shortstop in the No. 8 spot against KIA on Tuesday.먹튀검증
Oh Seon-jin, who was placed on the disabled list the past two days, will need time to return. His hamstring is not fully healed. Manager Choi Won-ho said, “He played in two games early last week, and if his condition was good, I was going to put him on the first team, but the pain appeared. We’ll have to see how he is this week.”
The Hanwha bench is waiting for the return of Oh Sun-jin and Ha Ju-seok.
