Futures League FA (free agent) Han Seok-hyun (29), who made his debut wearing an NC Dinos uniform, made a proper impression.

Han Seok-hyun started as the first hitter and left fielder in the evaluation match between NC and the World Baseball Classic (WBC) national team (Team Korea) held at the Main Stadium of Kino Complex in Tucson, Arizona on the 17th (Korean time).

Seok-Hyun Han’s bat worked properly from the first at-bat. Appearing early in the first inning, he attacked the fifth pitch of national team starter Kim Gwang-hyeon (35, SSG) and scored a hit to the side of the right fielder. When Do Tae-Hoon (30) hit in the third, he advanced to third base and failed to score. 메이저사이트

In the 4th inning, Seok-Hyun Han also scored a hit in the direction of center field to Tae-in Won (23, Samsung), the 4th pitcher of the national team. Then, in the top of the 5th inning, he hit a ground ball to the first baseman with the first baseman loaded and even added an RBI.

In the evaluation match, which was held in a 7-inning system, Han Seok-hyun recorded 2 hits and 1 RBI in 5 at-bats. In the team, he was the only multi-hit hitter along with Do Tae-hun (2 hits in 5 at-bats). Although the team lost 2-8 to the national team, Han Seok-hyun’s performance was outstanding.

Han Seok-hyun became the first player transferred through the Futures FA system, which was last implemented in the Stove League. After graduating from Gyeongnam High School, he joined LG in 2014 and met his FA qualifications by playing 7 seasons in the 2nd team. He became the Futures Northern League batting champion (batting average 0.345) and stealing king (29) in the 2020 season, and had a career batting average of 0.293 and 104 stolen bases in 7 seasons of the Futures League until last year.

Han Seok-hyun, who showed a good appearance in the 2nd group, did not receive many opportunities in the 1st group. Debuting in the first team in 2020, he played only 31 games and 39 at-bats in three seasons. Eventually, he came to the market to find a team that could give him a chance, and NC did not miss it and offered to join.

At the time of recruitment, Lim Seon-nam, NC general manager, explained, “I recruited Han Seok-hyun because I saw various advantages in contact, on-base, and running-base and that I could strengthen the team’s power.” He went on to say, “I will be able to strengthen my outfield depth with Kim Seong-wook, who was discharged from Sangmu.”

Han Seok-hyun, who was also included in the overseas spring camp three years after his days at LG, raised expectations for this season by wielding a strong blow from his first practice game.
