Bayern Munich have reportedly offered Kim Min-jae around four times his current salary.

Napoli source ‘Napolista’ reported on the 16th (KST), “Munich has offered 10 million euros (approximately 14 billion won), which is four times Kim Min-jae’s current salary. Napoli will also receive a buyout of 60 million euros (approximately 83.8 billion won). In this case, Napoli would receive more than three times the 18 million euros (about 25.1 billion won) they paid for Kim Min-jae last summer.”

Kim has been one of the best center backs in the Italian Serie A this season. His stellar performances for Fenerbahçe last season attracted the attention of many teams, and he eventually joined Napoli after a year. Once in Serie A, Kim scored two goals and provided two assists in 35 league appearances, helping Napoli win their first Serie A title in 33 years.

His performance earned him the Serie A Best Defender award. After the season, Kim is currently back in South Korea for three weeks of basic military training, after which he will likely make a definitive decision on his future, but rumors are already swirling about his next destination.

Kim’s contract includes a special release clause, which is reportedly only valid for the first two weeks of July. The buyout is reportedly in the neighborhood of €60 million. That’s not a lot of money for a player who has been so dominant this season. Because of this, he has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United.

In the meantime, Munich have emerged as a new candidate. The Bavarians have 23-year-old Mathias De Ligt and 24-year-old Dayot Upamecano as their starting center backs this season. Both are young and proven resources. The problem is that another defender, Luca Hernandez, is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and has reportedly put in a transfer request to the club.토토사이트

This has led to a search for a replacement, with Kim Min-jae as a priority target. Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on his social media account on the 16th, “Munich have been presenting the club’s project to Kim Min-jae since this week and are said to be close to a personal agreement. The player is attracted by the rapid progress of the negotiations with Munich.”

If the move is finalized, it would be a financial ‘jackpot’ for both the player and Napoli. According to Munich’s offer, Kim would receive €10 million, a fourfold increase from his current salary. Napoli would also earn a buyout of €60 million.
