Donggang University baseball player Lim Joo-chan has been named to the roster of this year’s inaugural high school-college all-star game.
Donggang University announced on June 30 that Lim Joo-chan, a sophomore infielder from the baseball team, will play in the “1st Hanwha Eagles Ship High School-College All-Star Game” on June 6 in Daejeon.
Named a High School-College All-Star by scouts from 10 KBO teams, Lim has been playing shortstop in the College Baseball U League this year.
A reliable defender with quick feet and a long bat, Lim is batting .265 (9-for-34) with 10 RBIs, six runs scored and two doubles in nine games in the U League.
Of his nine hits, three have been doubles and a home run, giving him an OPS of 0.943 (0.325 slugging percentage – 0.618 on-base percentage), the best offensive contribution on the team.스포츠토토
“I think it’s a great opportunity to show my skills by being selected as an all-star by the scouts of professional teams,” Lim said, “I want to play in the professional stage through my own baseball and wear the Taeguk mark.”
Meanwhile, 24 players from each position, including nine pitchers, three catchers, seven infielders, and five outfielders, were selected for the inaugural Hanwha Eagles Baseball High School-College All-Star Game.
Many of the players are high school and college players who have been named to the preliminary roster for the Hangzhou Asian Games. The games will be broadcast on Eagles TV.
