Dankook University has set a new record for the most points in a single game in the women’s collegiate division.

Dankook University defeated Ulsan National University 97-52 away in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball U-League at Ulsan University on Friday. With a 6-1 record, Dankook maintained sole possession of first place.

Dankook had won the first round matchup at home against Ulsan, 67-58. It was the start of KU’s six-game winning streak.

However, the nine-point margin of victory was disappointing. This means that they are likely to struggle a bit more in this game away from home.

Dankook was focused from the start of the game and poured on the points to give Ulsan no room for error. Instead of playing individually, they played as a team and piled up points.

After scoring 27 points in the first quarter, Dankook scored more than 20 points in each of the other three quarters, totaling 97 points.

The 97 points is the most points scored in a single game in the KU Women’s College Basketball League regular season since 2015. The previous high was 96 points scored by Gwangju University against Ulsan University on July 4 last year.

Ulsan University had the honor of allowing the most points again this year.

Dankook had six players who played at least 20 minutes score in double figures. They outrebounded Ulsan 44-22 and outplayed them as a team, as evidenced by their 26 assists.

KU exploded for 13 three-pointers and shot 52.0 percent (39-of-75) from the field, which helped them set a record for most points scored.스포츠토토

Above all, they had a clear advantage in physicality, attacking faster than Ulsan and playing a wide-open defense.

The 45-point margin of victory is tied for second all-time.

Yongin University had previously beaten Hallim Sungshin University on June 1, 2015, 90-33 and by 57 points. Kwangju University won 83-38 and 45 points against Kukdong University on March 28, 2017.

Dankook will face Busan University on Nov. 9 in a game that will decide the regular season title.
