LG Twins Young Gun infielder Lee Joo-hyung worked on his second base defence with the seniors.

The first game of a three-game midweek series between KT and LG took place at Katie Weeds Park in Suwon on the 25th. Ahead of the game, LG infielder Lee Ju-hyung practised second base defence with the seniors.

Lee Joo-hyung, the future of the LG Twins, has been playing alongside the seniors in the first team this season. He also impressed at the Futures League All-Star Game this year, playing second base.

Joo joined the LG Twins in 2020 and showed off his batting prowess in the second team Futures League in the 2020 season, batting .355 with six RBIs. After completing his military service following the 2021 season, Lee was named to the Futures League All-Star Game after hitting over .300 in the Futures League this season.

The LG Twins have plenty of options at second base. However, the starting second baseman is constantly changing. Seo Gun-chang, who started the season at second base, was sent down to the second team due to injuries and inconsistency, while veteran infielder Kim Min-sung briefly took over at second base, only to be sidelined by injury again.안전놀이터

Shin Min-jae and Jeong Ju-hyun are also regular second basemen, but LG has always had second base woes.

LG hasn’t had a player who can handle second base for a long time, which is why they traded for Seo Geon-chang from Kiwoom.

LG is giving young infielder Lee Ju-hyung a chance. He hopes to grow into a future LG second baseman alongside his seniors.

Lee made his first-team debut on 27 May this year against KIA. His stats for the first team this season are 13 hits and four RBIs in 15 games. Even though he hasn’t played much yet, he is getting a good experience by playing alongside the seniors in the first team.

Can LG solve its second base woes? Lee Joo-hyung, a military infielder who will be responsible for the future of the Twins, is thriving among the big boys.
